Stages of Anke’s time power

It has always been the idea for Anke to have some time powers. Although not explored a lot in my animated short, I have designed three stages of how she could look when she activates this power.

In the short, working title Camaderie, Anke uses her power to glimpse into the future of herself and her friends to help beat the Mire Monster. I want to keep it subtle to begin with, with her glistening blonde and lighting up to show a little bit of this power. She will gain full control of this trhoughtout the story as planned with Crono unlockling this.

Anyway… I will next look at creating some assets for the forest background. I am thinking to create a few interchangeable separate elements that I can reuse and make lots of designs quicker.

The major thing that I have found out whilst creating these turnarounds is a style idea. Although I really would like to create the characters without an outline like Little Amelie, It’s a lot easier with a thin outline. I will make the outline as thin as I can but having one included will save me time in the long time.

Next I want to start doing some background tests so I can create a concept frame.
