Child character redesigns

Based on what I learned from Little Amelie, I have created some simplified child character designs from heroes of Anke. These feature Anke respectively, Breille and Orso. I have opted for non lined characters that are shaded subtlety with a deep purple on 20% opacity.

I have gone for a simple look that will hopefully be easier to animate and make it flow smoother. I’m really happy with the results and will now do a quick animation test showing the gang jump in to frame and do a small action to show a bit about their personality.

e.g
- Orso rushes in and swings his tree branch sword
- Brielle comes in from the top of frame and pulls out her ‘Mire Compendium’ before studying it
- Anke acrobatically enters the frame and does a heroic pose as she is the leader

I will start with a rough storyboard and try to take even little animations like this seriously.
