Client: Overwolf
Problem:
BUFF is a gaming rewards app that runs on Overwolf, tracking players’ in-game activity and completed challenges. Users earn points (“Buffs”) that can be redeemed for gift cards, game credits, or gaming gear. We were tasked with creating a promotional video that clearly demonstrated the app in action while keeping it engaging and dynamic.
Idea:
We developed a fast-paced concept that blended high-energy gameplay with subtle motion graphics. The selected games matched the speed and intensity of the animated assets, ensuring the visuals complemented the short, impactful format of the video.
Outcome:
The client was extremely pleased with the first video showcasing the BUFF app. Its success led to the development of a continuing series, expanding the concept into multiple promotional videos.
Video content
Since this project relied heavily on gameplay footage, it became a great opportunity to refine editing to the beat. The fast-paced nature of shooter games made it easier to create sharp, rhythmic cuts that matched the music’s energy. As a result, the final video felt dynamic, punchy, and highly engaging.
